Career
Highlights |
Worked
as a Medical Technologist in hospital laboratories for
over 20 years from Idaho to Texas with last
job as Laboratory Manager at Katy Hospital in Katy,
Texas |

also an award winning taxidermist in Idaho. The other
brother is a CPA for a utility firm in Denver, Colorado |
Pets |
No "tame"
pets at this time, but do consider the resident opossums,
turtle, raccoons and frogs "pets", although
they are all allowed to exist with minimal interference
from me. I just get to enjoy their presence |
Education |
BS degree
in Microbiology from Idaho State University with post
graduate work in virology |
Thoughts |
My current
goal is to try to educate the general public on the
importance of the environment and the "creatures"
to our (man's) well-being and future. Man is not an
isolated individual, but a member of a very complex
system and all members are important for "his"
survival. |
Hobbies |
Writing,
gardening, all kinds of needlework including quilting
and reading |
Organizations |
Texas Master
Naturalist Gulf Coast chapter (I was instrumental in
setting up this chapter and served 2 years as the chapter
president), Harris County Master Gardeners (member since
1991) and a member of the Urban Harvest board for 1
1/2 years. |
| Awards |
"Gardening
the Upper Texas Gulf Coast"was awarded the top
prize the year it was entered at the state meeting. |
